Like most major international sporting events, Superbikes attracts worldwide attention through the media, at race events and through sponsor promotion and publicity.

Fan Demographics

Official research has shown the fan base as being 67% male, 33% female, with 23% aged 15-24 and 59% aged 25-44.

Spectators

Superbikes attract an average crowd of 60,000 per race event and around 1 million spectators per year. Events continue to attract record crowds.

Television

SBK reaches more than 2 billion viewers in 173 countries around the world. At present there are 94 countries broadcasting almost 3000 hours of coverage with the numbers of hours broadcast increasing year on year. SBK controls the production of its broadcasts in sympathy with its partners, sponsors and teams. 52% of the television audience is based in Europe, 17% in the Americas, 21% in Asia Pacific, 7% in Africa and 3% in the Middle East. 54% of the audience are aged 25-44 with a good standard of education and a comfortable economic background.

Superbikes feature prominently in national daily media after each race, especially in the country of the race.

Superbike events have a leading presence in all specialist motorcycle magazines and newspapers worldwide. Official research has shown that each Superbike event averages coverage of 4.9 pages in each publication.

The SBK official website (www.worldsbk.com) attracts over 1 million unique visitors during the course of a season all of whom are exposed to SBK partners and sponsors. Research has suggested that 76% of the viewers are male with 55% aged 25-44.
