Superbike Racing

Superbike racing is an exciting and glamorous sport that features powerful and exotic production-based motorcycles racing in national and international championships.

The Superbike World Championship (SBK) is one of the world’s premier series of sporting events attracting leading motorcycle manufacturers and riders. Close and competitive racing and the synergy between the bikes that are raced on the track and that are sold in showrooms has resulted in a huge Superbike fan base.

SBK runs in parallel with MotoGP and with national Superbike championships such as those in the USA, Japan, Canada and the UK. The UK championship - the British Superbike Series (BSB) - is one of the UK’s most prestigious sporting events and is regarded as the most competitive national Superbike series in the world.

Superbike racing has developed into a powerful marketing medium providing a range of marketing communications opportunities not only to motorcycle manufacturers but also to a wide range of businesses who use sponsorship as part of their marketing mix. Superbikes receive a high level of national and international attention through the media, through race event audiences and through sponsor marketing communications campaigns. SBK is broadcast to 173 countries and has a global television audience estimated at over 2 billion people. Over 1 million people attend the race events which take place in Europe, the USA, the Middle East and Australia.
