
Team Sponsorship
Is regarded as the most effective medium for motorsport marketing. Sponsors receive brand exposure on the team’s racing bikes and riders and can then use this as a basis for marketing communications.
StoneBaker Racing are actively seeking commercial partners to join them in the Supersport World Championship in 2009.
An involvement in the Supersport World Championship as opposed to the SBK World Championship can provide a sponsor with most of the same marketing benefits received by a SBK World Superbike sponsor, but at a fraction of the cost. Primary sponsorship of a SBK World Superbike team can be greater than €3 Million, while primary sponsorship of a Supersport team is in the region of €550,000. Naturally there are differences in terms of marketing benefits received, but these are generally related to TV exposure and the number of race events.
A Supersport World Championship sponsor still receives exposure at every event, has access to official corporate hospitality and can make use of images of the team’s bikes and riders in advertising campaigns.
